Sophie Inard is a French artist based in Paris.

Her practice navigates the intersections of gender, power, and identity, engaging with the tensions between softness and strength, intimacy and spectacle. Through the use of vintage objects and hand-crocheted forms, she transforms everyday materials into vessels of memory and contradiction.

By wrapping objects in crochet—a gesture both protective and exposing—she explores what is revealed, what is concealed, and how history inhabits form. The handmade process, slow and deliberate, becomes a way of reclaiming time and care in a culture of speed and disposability.

Her work has been exhibited internationally and continues to evolve through collaborations, public commissions, and installations.
